Why treat tap water?

Everyone already uses filtered water – via soil and municipal treatment. German tap water is good by global standards. Legal limits still allow substances you may wish to avoid; compliance is not 100% everywhere. Local treatment adds benefits.

Chlorination protects pipes but affects taste; plumbing adds traces. Even simple activated carbon improves taste and quality.

Limescale builds up on appliances. Small filters or softening at the tap help; RO in the kitchen removes it. Cleaning with osmosis water saves detergent.

To avoid microbes, residues and other contaminants in drinking water, choose reverse osmosis – it can deliver very pure water.
